| Town & Country 4-H Rodeo Club Bruce Marshall, Leader 8005 Bellamah, NE Albuquerque, NM 87110 August 28, 2000 PRESS RELEASE INFORMATION FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE Artesia, NM-BIG DADDY'S BBQ SAUCE & SPICES CO., STOCK SYMBOL: BIGD(www.pinkshe ets.com) is proud to be an Event Sponsor for the New Mexico 4-H Rodeo Finals being held this Saturday and Sunday (September 2nd and 3rd) in Artesia, NM. Contestants aged from 9-19 years from throughout New Mexco will converge on the North Eddy County Fairgrounds to compete in 26 different events, not only for the title of Finals Champion, but for year end Series awards also. The Finals rewards these future "rodeo stars" for a season of hard work and dedication. NM 4-H rodeo starts in May each year, and features 10 rodeos within the state. Youth compete in events such as breakaway roping, steer riding, goat tying, pole bending, junior bull riding, ribbon roping, senior bull riding, bronc riding, calf roping, and team roping in three different age groups. Points are earned at each indiviual rodeo toward year end Series event awards, including the coveted All Around Cowboy for each age group. The prize package for all this effort, to be awarded after Sunday's competition at the annual Awards Banquet, includes the normal buckles…and custom saddles for year end winners in each event. This prize package is consistantly worth $40,000 each year! New Mexico is one of the only states within the 4-H program which has a rodeo project/series.
