CAR SHOWS KEEP BIG DADDY TEAM BUSY BETWEEN RACES
Richards Motorsports crew members took the Big Daddy’s race car out on the town for 2 big events. We had enough time between races on the SARA Late Model Series to let the people of Central Florida get a close up look at the car. Uniformed crew members greeted interested people, answered questions, and helped kids in and out of the race car. Driver Mike McCrary, Jr. was on the scene both days giving out autographed pictures. The #8 black and red Monte Carlo looked great as it was carefully inspected inside and out by the public.
Our first showing took place Saturday, June 24th at the grand opening of the Tractor Supply Co. store located on Hwy 27 in Haines City. Business was very brisk to say the least, we where able to capture the interest of many customers. In addition, a local radio station broadcasted live from this site for 4 hours. Our race team got numerous “hits” during this period. We obliged the radio audience by firing up the engine during one spot.
The other show was the annual 4th of July Celebration held at a lakefront park in downtown Haines City. This years festival was titled
"Thunder on the Ridge”. We weren’t the only attraction at this show as country singer John Anderson put on a great concert. It was estimated that 30,000+ people attended this event. This was easily the largest one day crowd to ever congregate in the Greater Haines City area.
Both of these occasions treated the people of Central Florida to their first taste of Big Daddy’s BBQ Sauce. We served it up a couple of different ways to hundreds of people and it really went over well. People stated that they would have bought the sauce right then. We informed them to be on the look out at their Wal-Mart Super centers.
It will be back to action for us on July 29th at USA International Speedway. This track, located near Lakeland, Fl., is one of our favorites. Our confidence level is very high now and we really looking forward to this event. Please come and join us for what is sure to be a thrilling race.
